Embedded signup

Embedded signup is Meta's guided onboarding flow for the WhatsApp Business Platform. It runs inside a provider's website or app and lets a business connect in a few minutes without support tickets.

The steps

1. Log in with a Facebook account.
2. Choose or create a Meta business portfolio.
3. Create a WhatsApp Business Account and display name.
4. Add a phone number and verify it by SMS or voice call.
5. Grant the provider permission to manage messaging.

Using an existing number

You can use a new number or one already in the WhatsApp Business app. With coexistence, you can keep using the app on that number.

After signup

You can reply to customers straight away. To message people first, submit a template for approval. Business verification can follow later and helps raise your messaging limit.
