Quality rating

The quality rating is Meta's assessment of how customers have reacted to the messages your WhatsApp number has sent recently. It is shown as high, medium or low, often displayed as green, yellow and red.

What affects it

• Blocks and reports from recipients.
• Negative feedback reasons, such as "spam" or "did not sign up".
• How recent those signals are, with the last few days weighted most.

Why it matters

Your quality rating is linked to your messaging limit. A consistently high rating helps you move up to higher limits. A low rating can stop your limit from increasing, and repeated problems can lead to restrictions on the number.

How to keep it high

• Only message people who opted in.
• Segment campaigns and send less often.
• Keep messages relevant and short.
• Include an easy opt-out.
• Watch the rating after every campaign and pause if it drops.
